Fielder Grant for Career Advancement

PURPOSE:  The WMMC Fielder Endowment was established in 2005 by a donation from Past President Bonnie Cummins Fielder to award career grants to classical singers with promising vocal careers.  The purpose is to assist young singers with professional expenses incurred in pursuit of a career in classical music.

ELIGIBILITY:   Applicants should be fully prepared and already engaged in their career, and are required to be Texas residents, US citizens, and in the age range of 22-32, as of the application deadline.

GRANT AMOUNT:  A total of $5,000. in grant money may be awarded annually at the discretion of the judging committee.

SELECTION PROCESS:  To access and print the application form, click below.   Note the additional required documents listed on page 2.  Applications, CD’s and supporting documents will be reviewed by a preliminary selection committee.  Finalists will be invited to appear in person before the Club and a panel of judges.

FINALS:    March 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
